As we approach the warmer months, I urge the board to consider diminishing the amount of time sprinklers are running in the community. Generally speaking lawns need about 1" of water per week and flourish most from deep soakings about twice weekly as opposed to daily waterings. Last summer sprinklers were coming on almost daily and my propertys ground was moist and sloshy most of the time. In addition one of the sprinkler heads was positioned in a manner in which it was watering my driveway and street but little else therefore going straight into the gutters. I believe sprinkler heads should be inspected in April and if need be replaced before the warmer weather arrives. In addition the board should consider limiting watering to a couple days per week to conserve water. Our water supply is a natural resource that needs to be respected and conserved. I would also like to know who we should report a malfunctiong sprinkler head to? Camco services? Last year I placed a call and the issue was never fixed by the prior management group. Thank you for your time.

Your suggestions and concerns have been forwarded to CAMCO to address with our irrigation contractor. I suggest you reach out directly to CAMCO to identify the broken sprinkler head at 631-476-2100 or by email at info@camcoservicesofny.com - Keep in mind Sounds Gardens does evaluate all sprinkler heads when they start them up for the season, but identifying a specific sprinkler head ahead of time would ensure it gets addressed!
